Came to stay with our youth hockey team and the staff and management were excellent from managing the booking to use of breakfast and conference rooms. Hotel shows its age, but its as advertised. Definitely recommend for team bookings.
Cons: dated room (but no crime scene vibes) and tech, wifi quit and hvac unit is noisy. Soooo what!? The bigger deal is the Pros. The staff are problem solvers, positive prompt and keen. The pool , breakfast and location are awesome. The text message check in and check out are great too. For budget minded travelers on road trips though Northern Ontario. This is an oasis of comfort at a reasonable rate. Grateful for humanity here at days inn thunderbay.
I had a great stay at this hotel! This is my home away from home when I stay in Thunder Bay! The staff are friendly, helpful, and really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The hotel is clean, the breakfast room is large, and it has a lot of variety with a hot breakfast. While it is an older hotel with a few carpet stains here and there, but honestly the service and value more than make up for it. The beds and variety of pillows are comfortable. The location couldn't be better - close to everything you need in Thunder Bay! The rewards program is another big plus! It's easy to earn points, and before you know it, you can use them for "free" nights. I just redeemed some points for "two nights free stay"! Overall, this place offers great value, great staff, and a great stay! What more can you ask for from a hotel?
Super clean room very friendly and helpful staff, pool clean hot tub clean, jets did not work the best but they are fixing it as I text this. Bed very comfortable just a great experience. Best sleep I have had in a long time. 1 downfall breakfast kinda bland pancakes very small. Eggs meh my suggestion is have some bacon and sausage cheese for the eggs. Pancake bigger.
Great location - central to everything. There is a Tim's in the parking lot and Montana's as well. Beds were comfy and rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was ok.. exactly what you expect for a free breakfast. There is a pool with a hot tub as well - it looked nice but I haven't gone there yet. The shower is hot and the tub is big enough to take a bath! Great water pressure as well! Overall - very happy with my choice - stayed for 3 nights
The hotel was clean for the most part. The appearance was fairly simple. The room was spacious enough for four adults but the lack of electrical plugs was noticeable as well as a microwave. Breakfast was very simple. Nothing “hot” and very continental. Except for a pancake machine. Plenty of bread types and bagels. We didn’t try the pool but it seemed adequate however hot tub was out of order.
Well it wasn't as close to hospital as I would have liked it to have been, but as convenient as as possible when I had my room booked for me.
Room was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels. Staff was very accommodating Sink wasn’t draining, and LR remote for TV didn’t work (left a note for housekeeping). Will stay again Checked out at 11 am
